Solving time

Today one person solved the puzzle in 48 eciónds, The puzzle consists of 69 empty squares i. e 0,7 seconds per square. How is that possible? One way would be to use two acoounts one to copy the puzzle by using Print screen and the other to fill in the squares after solving the puzzle. How else?

As a person who solved the puzzle in 49 seconds (but the evil leaderboard made it 51), I can assure you, that time can be achieved by legit means.

So how is this possible? Lots of practice. I advocate doing Math practices outside kakuro for balance. Plus, it's an easy puzzle today, so we don't need too much time to think. It is likely that I would take more time if I have to read the cheat sheet before typing it, personally.

And memory kind of helps. Similar situations. And pencil-ing the tiles takes more time than just memorizing them.

Yes, its all about practice. For example the Black belt kakuro books from conceptis are really nice.

At nikoli.com you need about 0.5 secs per square to win an easy kakuro. Sometimes I cant beat the fastest solvers even if I repeat the same puzzle multiple times.

Just try to write down or screenshot a puzzle and solve it another day. Copying will need much more time than solving regularly ;)

Ps: Everyone gets plus 2 or 3 secs at the end...

Nah, some very rare days I get my exact time written on the leaderboard.

Today, it's just +1 second

That's not good to hear, I might have to change the solving time to reflect client side rather than server side. First, I'll have to see why it's going so slowly. Maybe the lack of Net Neutrality in the US is already hitting kakuro-online...

Admin, look at the time for December 14 XD I'm 2:12 and FexSHO 2:16, so +6 is just FexSHO pretending to be faster than me by one second.

But hey. I totally support this client side thing. My old internet service provider was so slow every few days, it could get +6, to the point I would avoid finishing daily puzzles that day.
